In his studies of the work of Natalia LL, Adam Sobota observed that the year 1970 was a breakthrough in her art, highlighting the clear articulation of her unique artistic attitude and her close links to the Polish neo-avant-garde movement. In her Velvet Terror series, to which this work belongs, the artist explores issues related to the body in the cultural context, investigating the significance of our codes of communication and learnt behaviours.
