The work comes from one of the most famous series produced by Natalia LL. The photographs and films referred to as Consumer Art were made in 1972-1975. As Antoni Dzieduszycki says about the works (Fotografia, 1973), "the ambiguity of the action, which turns a simple act of eating into refined erotism, and ultimately into a magical gesture, a system of symbols making up a universally used - as it seems - but actually unknown code, does not only intrigue but also makes viewers reflect on the meaning of a sign, on codes they commonly use to ensure that they are mutually understood. The reflection, which ultimately becomes a reflection on art, makes one of the most valuable accomplishments of Natalia Lach-Lachowicz".
The work has been widely printed and exhibited.
