In 1972, Natalia LL began working on a series of photographic and film productions known as Consumer Art, in which she expressed her attitude to consumption and to the way the image of a woman is shaped by popular culture. These are some of the most recognisable of her works. Natalia LL captures models eating bananas, sausages and ice-cream. The ostensibly innocent activity acquires strongly erotic overtones, which is a central idea underlying her artistic activity.
